Welcome to EDAS Comox Valley
Our Comox Valley project is the home project for our Island Team and beyond. We partner with School District 71, collaborating with 21 school communities, 24 support agencies and numerous service clubs such Rotary, church groups, local business, community centers and dedicated community members.
Comox Valley
Because of the kindness and generosity of our three communities, we are able to reach out to over a 1000 people unhoused or precariously unhoused in the Comox Valley.
Another 450 are reached in Victoria as well as Vancouver, Downtown East Side.
One of our flagship components include the running of a grade 7 EDAS Club and creating curriculum and programming for student leadership and changemaking working alongside teachers, staff and students K to 12 in French and English. We aim to empower youth leadership, grow compassion, rehumanize homelessness and inspire lifelong community service in our students.
This year we have two new student EDAS clubs opening at two of our partnering school communities. A grade 7 leadership team at Miracle Beach Elementary and a grade 6 to 9 EDAS Club at Lake Trail Community School. How awesome!
