Welcome to EDAS Nanaimo
Our Nanaimo project is the home project for our Island Team and beyond. We partner with School District 68, collaborating with school communities, support agencies and numerous service clubs such Rotary, church groups, local business, community centers and dedicated community members.
Nanaimo
Students from École Hammond Bay Elementary filled 650 hand-painted packages with cards, cookies, warm socks, toques, gloves, scarves and toiletries. The students were learning about taking action and inspiring their community to come to a deeper understanding of homelessness and that everybody deserves to feel loved and cared for.
A few students from Fairview were there to help out on packing day. In addition to École Hammond Bay Elementary and Fairview Community schools, Nanaimo District Secondary, Brechin, Cinnabar Valley, École North Oyster elementary schools and Aspen Grove – Girl Guides of Canada also participated in EDAS.
