What We Do
Welcome to Everybody Deserves A Smile (EDAS), where education meets compassion to create a community of belonging. We are dedicated to rehumanizing individuals who are unhoused, disadvantaged, and marginalized through a holistic approach that spans kindergarten to grade 12 and extends to all community members.
Education for Compassion
Compassion lies at the heart of our mission. We are committed to nurturing this value from an early age. Our educational programs for students from kindergarten to grade 12 focus on fostering a deep understanding of the challenges faced by those who feel marginalized and overlooked. By weaving empathy into the curriculum, we aim to cultivate a generation that champions diversity and inclusivity.
Action for Inclusion
Education alone is not enough; action is the catalyst for change. Our service learning projects combine knowledge with hands-on experiences, empowering students and community members to make a tangible difference. From local initiatives to global outreach, we actively work towards destigmatization and the assurance that everyone belongs and matters.
Community Collaboration
We understand that lasting change requires a collective effort. That's why we collaborate with local communities at all levels. By working together, we amplify our impact and create a supportive network that dismantles stereotypes and promotes a sense of community for all.
Service-Learning projects
Going beyond the classroom, our service-learning projects provide hands-on experiences that translate knowledge into action. Students actively contribute to initiatives that address the needs of those marginalized in our community.

Engaging and interactive, our two-part workshops cover a range of topics aimed at fostering understanding, compassion, inclusion, and practical skills running the EDAS project within a classroom or school community. Participants gain valuable insights to navigate the complexities of service learning and its necessity to create lifelong impact on students, staff and their local communities.
Mentorship
Providing personalized guidance and support, our mentorship programs connect secondary students or former EDAS Club students now graduated with experienced mentors who inspire, encourage, and guide them on their personal leadership and advocacy journeys.
